F.A.Q

  • The Pomsky is an energetic, intelligent, and affectionate breed. They required regular exercise, grooming, and consistent training, so having time and attention to dedicate to their care will be a vital part of determining if a Pomsky is right for you and your family! If you have the time, space, and dedication to meet their needs, they can bring incredible joy to your life!

  • Check out our available litters here!

  • New litters are first discussed with those on the waitlist, and selections and/or matches are assigned at 5-6 weeks. If puppies continue to be available after the waitlist has made their selections, these puppies will be available to inquire about!

  • Our puppies range between $2500-$4000, depending on parentage and demand. Our prices do not fluctuate depending on the coat color, coat type, eye color, or other aesthetic details of the dog, as these details do not raise or lower the cost of breeding and caring for the puppies!

  • There are several red flags if a breeder is not ethical, and just as many green flags to show you if they are! Some of these green flags include:

    • Being an active member and certified breeder through our national breed club, the APKC

    • Health testing

    • Breeding to standard

    • Aiming to prove breeding stock through titling

    • Encouraging our owners to meet our parent dogs

    • Being transparent about our dogs’ living conditions

    • Providing a purchase agreement for the care of the dog at time of purchase

For more information, you can read the AKC "Signs of a Responsible Breeder"

  • Yes, EVP does both genetic and structural health testing. Genetic health is tested through Embark, while orthopedic and structural tests are performed by certified veterinarians and graded by the OFA.

  • Puppies can go home between 8-10 weeks and dates for pick up can be determined at time of placing a deposit.

  • We start our puppies out on the basics of house breaking, crate training, and introductory desensitization to grooming, however no puppy should be expected to be completely trained by the time they first go home. You should expect to work with your puppy in these areas to continue reinforcing their training for several weeks or months, depending on the training and the puppy.

  • Pomskies can have some high maintenance needs. They can be high energy dogs, with extensive grooming routines. We recommend researching the average cost in your area for dog grooming if you feel daily or weekly brushing is not something that will fit with your routine. Toys, treats, and regular vet care are also expected expenses in caring for your Pomsky.

  • All of our dogs are sold on contract, including a policy against rehoming or abandonment. Any dog that can no longer be cared for by the owner must be returned to us, should not be rehomed without our approval, and should never be surrendered to a shelter or abandoned.

  • Our national breed club, the APKC is the organization for bettering and progressing our breed, through ethical breeding practices and humane ownership. The breeder directory is the single most reliable and secure place to locate and ethical breeder, and avoid puppy mills or scams. You can trust that the members on this list are compassionate and informed breeders who are doing the work to bring you healthy, stable Pomskies, and who will support you in your journey throughout your dog’s lifetime.
